This week we give you a vintage Mojo Guitar Pedal. An Electro-Harmonix Small Stone phase shifter, without an LED indicator for which they say the production was on from from 1974 to roughly 1981. During this vintage era, Electro-Harmonix produced three distinct versions (V1, V2, and V3) without a status light.
v1 – silver box, red lettering, no LED or AC
v2 – silver box, orange lettering, no LED
v3 – orange and black box, white lettering, no LED
v4 – reissue with LED.
One other thing to be noted is the jack on these puppies. A lot of people ask me how to power them. Well the answer is a 3,5 mm jack, similar to headphone MONO jacks, which stands for all the vintage, I think pre 00 Electro harmonix pedals. You can get them on Thoman and a lot of other sites.
What to say about this collectable beast? I love everything about it other than the bypass. It’s literally inexistent, so when you crank it up, you can hear it in the background. This problem can be solved with the use of an A/B pedal or loop pedal, where you cut off the signal from it alltogether.
Other than that gets a bit off getting used to because of the “no led” sittuation but other than that a nice collectable, mid Rare in good conditions. A must try at least. As usual the test is up on our channel.
