We create sustainable objects and projects that stand the test of time. One day, these will be the objects you’ll give to the next generation, the next one, the next one, and the next one… as stories.
It’s the place where the barriers between languages are almost invisible and the borders get watered down by harsh snowy winters and people are leaving their homes for promises of better lives in big cities.
This amazing story starts just like that in a small and at first glance unimportant village. It tries to tell the prafce stories of places in its own language. Sometimes against all odds or for no other reason than love.
These old houses tell tails of [Blumari] (our traditional carnival masks), cheese making and also by rugged hands that sometimes shape stones easier than words.
Montefoscana project
“Montefoscana” is a lifetime project that tells the past of a village, too ordinary to be written before, but too beautiful to remain untold and not to be lived again.
It tells the history of nobody in particular and it searches for nothing but dreams, created by everyday people of this village we call home.
The history looks almost as if painted with fingers driven by the illusion of beauty.
The everyday reality is hidden underneath a deafening layer of snow, or lost in the scorching hot summer day spent cutting grass in endless meadows for hay to feed the animals.

This [pravca] is told a thousand times.
It’s the story invented to give the strength and courage to carry on.
The story is told in the simplest of forms, it’s the art of
everyday life. It is almost like a living museum, where you can watch forgotten crafts and trades being brought back to life.
You can visit this living museum to touch, taste or literally sleep in it.
You can experience everything from local cheese
making to other forgotten traditions that are within reach.
The silence and simplicity drive our creativity, they make our hearts tell the
stories in our own words, with our own lines.
And these [pravce] are what we call MONTEFOSCANA.
Stories [pravce]
Some stories bring just letters, some others bring words.
Some stories can bring just a melody, some others bring a song.
We listen to those stories only to bring them to life again and share them with you.
If we were lied to, we tell them the same way to you, and that’s what gives them new life, new colours and what makes them [pravce].
In this way you are given the key that opens the door through which you are invited to enter and make stories your own.
Bàndra Čárni Várh
You’ve probably never experienced the energy like that before.
In an old, dirty and damp tavern, everybody sings, from the tone deaf in the back who drowned their ears in cheap wine, to the colour-blind in the front. Everybody off key and off rhythm, but on point, knowing their part at the right moment.
This is what we are trying to recreate.
There’s no virtuosity, just that same feeling and energy.
The Bucket [Senglot]
It’s just a bucket full of tools and resources.
The knowledge of crafts is meant to be shared with others.
It’s like a helping hand that repairs everything or even builds a dream.
It may be used to change a light bulb or to create a closet to store your dreams in.
Just like in the good old days.
It’s available just a phone call away and it’s practically at your doorstep.
The project is also designed to help the elderly or people with disabilities.
It may also help youngsters who dream of beautiful objects that will make
their houses feel like their homes, or will just help them create a place where they can prepare a fresh homemade meal.
